Birdwatching

Jamacá das Araras is one of the best places in Chapada dos Guimarães for birdwatching. The surrounding forest is full of birds, and the red-and-green macaws nest in tree hollows in plain sight.

Forest trail

A trail through the native forest links the observation points. Walking slowly and quietly, you can see birds and other Chapada wildlife, such as the agouti, the capuchin monkey and, with luck, even the tapir.

The cabins

There are three cabins in the forest, Mirindiba, Pitombeira and Urucurana, each for up to three guests and with a private bathroom.

Location

In Chapada dos Guimarães, close to Cuiabá. You can combine birdwatching with the waterfalls, viewpoints and trails of the National Park, or with the Pantanal on the same trip, and we take care of the transfer.
