The harpy eagle

The harpy eagle is the largest and most powerful eagle in the Americas. Seeing one in the wild is rare: it lives in tall forests and builds its nest at the top of the biggest trees.

  • Near the lodge there is a harpy eagle nest, visited with a guide and with care not to disturb the birds
  • Each night of stay includes a 3-hour visit to the nest, in the morning or the afternoon
  • Depending on the season, you may see the chick in the nest
  • Extra visits to the nest can be arranged

The Cerrado

The Cerrado is Brazil's second-largest biome and the most biodiverse savanna in the world. Grasslands, woodlands, rock walls and mountain ridges make up a landscape of wide horizons, and many of the waters that flow into the Pantanal are born here.

  • Home of the maned wolf, the giant anteater, macaws, toucans and hundreds of other birds
  • The lodge's own trail through native vegetation
  • Sunsets with the mountains behind, even more beautiful in the dry season (May to September)

The lodge

  • Large pool with thatched kiosks, a kiddie pool and a playground
  • Two lakes for sport fishing
  • Lawns and coconut palms, with a bonfire area for the evenings
  • Full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Rooms

  • Rooms for 1 to 4 people, with double and single beds
  • Air conditioning and minibar
  • Bed linen and towels
